“He doesn’t write novels, but he still understands the structure of a romance, and so I bounce all my ideas from him,” she says. Lilah, an avid reader, also helps.
“She knows all my stories. She has not read them, but I have told them all to her as stories about bedtime,” Reid says. “Since she is very curious, she helps me too. I’m talking about a problem I have. I come down to the dinner table from my office, and I say: ‘Oh, I can’t find out this, and she will ask questions, and she will say:’ Well, can you do it or it. ”
“I am very enjoyed in this house, with people who give a lot of attention to me, trying to figure out these things,” Reid adds. Sometimes it even means getting the kind of advice that may not sound like a compliment at first redness.

“(Lilah) told me that she suspected that I was not the best writer in the world: that I was probably not the worst writer in the world either, and that I was in between, and I should be quite happy about it,” says Reid.

“I took a minute and I was like,” you’re absolutely right. “I mean, maybe all authors should really strive to understand that we are not the best in the world, adds the author.” She is always there to give me a good dose of perspective. “
Creating their latest novel and its strengthening protagonist gave Reid a new vision as well, especially when it comes to the stars.
“Writing the book made it very difficult for me to ever take it for granted again,” she says. “My hope is that there will be some people who feel the reverence I know and that Joan is feeling.”
