Sufjan Stevens reveals their thoughts on the Bible.
IN An interview with Vulture Published on Wednesday, May 14, the “Chicago” musician opened how the Bible supports sex and sexuality.
“The religious ones are very sexual,” Stevens, 49, told the publication. “It’s erotic. Look at Catholic art through the ages, baroque art. It is very fleshy and sensual and full of bare bodies.”

The TK singer then explained that he “always embraced” it in his music.
“I’ve always felt that my relationship with God is a very intimate and sensual,” Stevens said. “Sacraments are. It is engaging with God in a physical way. You literally eat the meat and drink the G blood under the Eucharist. It doesn’t get much more erotic than that.”
“Being alone with you” the artist noted to be a “vampire” is “the ultimate erotic experience.”
Stevens then talked about how he perceives the Bible.
“The Bible is very gay,” he said. “Just all men.”
Added Stevens: “That’s what you get when there is a patriarchy that has been endured for so long. Jesus was single, never married; disciples were all dudes …”

“I felt I had fewer F —- to give about something or someone after that,” Stevens said about his death. “Life is short. You just have to be true and honest and real. That’s what death does to you.”
