Starbucks Transforms Frappuccino with 3 ‘Strato’ flavors

Frappuccino gets a new look.

Starbucks announced on Monday 7 July that it rolls out a new Strato (Italian for “layer”) Frappucino drink in three flavors, all with the brand’s cold foam rather than the whipped cream with which the drink is usually topped.

Brown Sugar Strato-like adds brown sugar cold foam and a dash cinnamon to a mixture of frappuccino-fried coffee, milk and ice-will appeal to fans of the popular Iced Brown Sugar Oatmil Shakes Espresso looking for something creamier.

Strawberry Match Strato, with one of the summer’s most popular combinations, includes unsweetened match, classic syrup, milk, ice and strawberry cream cold foam.

The salted cream muck strato tops a mixture of suede sauce, coffee, milk and ice with salted caramel cream cold foam and a caramel drizzle zigzag.

People got an early taste of all three drinks and they did not disappoint and packed well -balanced flavors with the signature wealth for which Frappuccino is known. The cold foam – as we also loved in the spring Iced Cherry Chai – Adds a modern twist with its light, airy structure.

The chain notes that adjustments are welcome and straws are optional with the new drinks, as they skip the older version’s high whirl of whipped cream.

Frappuccino, which was first introduced in the spring of 1995, is celebrating 30 years this year.

The three Strato drinks, available for a limited time from Tuesday, July 8, follows another addition to Starbuck’s menu.

The Fireworks frappuccinoAn offer of limited time for the first week of July, added a “festive twist” to the summer berry refreshment with raspberries, blueberries and blackberry flavor.

It also contained coconut milk, popping raspberry beads, a vortex of strawberry puree and a layer of vanilla sweet cream cold foam.

Another seasonal drink that Starbucks was introduced for the summer is the icy horchata oatmeal shaken espresso, which has blonde espresso with horchata syrup – a mixture of cinnamon, vanilla and rice flavors.

And the food menu got a sweet new supplement: strawberries & cream cake, which includes strawberry cream cake mixed with butter cream and dipped in chocolate ice cream.
