A woman in South Carolina saved her husband from a brutal alligator attack.
In a vibrant society in Sun City, Hilton Head, SC, for residents 55 years of age and the elderly, Joe and Marian Roeser tended to their garden when an eight and a half long alligator beat Joe. Marian acted quickly and fought by the aggressive alligator with a tomato stake.
The attack occurred close to the 100 block of Colburn Drive. A Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report indicates that Joe was attacked when the back was turned into a nearby dust, per WTOC 11.
“His wife is a hero,” said Lt Danny Allen, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Joe probably survived because of how Marian fought by the Alligator.
“I just took the closest I could find – a tomato pad ABC 4. “I knew I had to do what it takes to save my husband.”
Joe was lifted to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on April 9. He got bite wounds in the leg and injury to the head, which is alleged to be from falling on the sidewalk during the attack, per ABC News.
“The alligator was captured and put down because of this attack,” Allen said. “But generally what we want people to know, April and May are top time for breeding and movement with alligators.”
The sheriff’s office encourages people to report alligator activity to the department of natural resources if they feel threatened.
“Fight for your life, beat for the eye area and honestly met wherever you can and definitely if you see some who are in need, please, someone has to call 911 to get us there as soon as possible,” Allen said.
