Smokey Robinson’s lawyer sludge $ 50 million sexual abuse against trial

“We ask everyone who follows this case to reserve them when the evidence arrives and all actual facts in the case develop,” Frost said. “We will ask the court to reject the action. We will also ask the court to state that in their statements to the press on Mr. Robinson, the complainant’s lawyers have reached beyond the limits of freedoms that even lawyers are usually allowed in this context.”

Robinson told us earlier Daily mail that he was “frightened” by the charges in a short phone call on Wednesday, May 7.

On one Complaints submitted in Los Angeles On Tuesday, May 6, Robinson was accused of sexual battery, abuse, false prison, sex violence and created a hostile work environment of four women who previously worked for the star and his wife, Frances, for a period of almost 20 years.

“Of course, no sum of money can compensate for these women for what Mr. Robinson put through them,” said complainant’s lawyer John Harris at a news conference. “(But $ 50 million is motivated) based seriously in Mr. Robinson’s despicable and reprehensible misunderstanding.”

The women – who all submitted anonymously as Jane Doe – claimed that Robinson “repeatedly forced his fingers and penis in his vaginas, which caused serious and unmatched pain” without consent, according to the complaint. The women also claimed that he would use “physical obstacles, violence, threats of violence” and more to prevent them from leaving during the alleged abuses, such as locking the door.

Frances, whom Robinson married in 2002, is also named in the trial, as the complainants claim that she had “full knowledge of his earlier acts of sexual misunderstanding” and “failed to take appropriate corrective action” to prevent his “deviating misunderstanding”, even after having settled cases with other women who experienced similarly perceived attacks of Robinson.

In the complaint, each of the four women puts out similar accusations, and every woman claims to have resigned from their position because of Robinson’s alleged misunderstanding. The complainants say they did not report Motown -Star’s alleged abuse to the authorities for fear of “losing their livelihood, family reprisals, public embarrassment, shame and humiliation”, and also because they felt “threatened and frightened” by Robinson’s celebrity status.

Jane Doe 1 claims Robinson attacked her at least seven times, while Jane Doe 2 claims she was attacked by Robinson at least 23 times. Jane Doe 3 claims that Robinson “raped” his “at least 20 times” for a period of 12 years, according to the complaint, while Jane Doe 4 said she was first raped by the star in 2007, and such abuses “continued” before ending in 2024.

The complainants seek damages of at least $ 50 million.
