The city of Rochester shared a statement about the event of an official Facebook post Thursday, May 1, and wrote that city officials were “aware of a deeply disturbing video recorded at one of our city parks containing rattles.”

“The city of Rochester is firmly committed to promoting public spaces that are inclusive, welcoming and secure for all residents and visitors – spaces where individuals with all backgrounds can relax, play and join friends and neighbors,” continued the statement and allowed Rochester Police Department (RPD) to actively look into the matter. ”
