Barbara Walters left a lasting impression on Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselkeck.
In the section 27 March of her talk show, SherriShepherd, 57 and Hasselck, 47, reminded his days and worked together on The view. Shepherd was a co-host at the talk show 2007–2014, while Hasselkeck appeared on the 2003-2013 series. Walters was a pillar of the program from the beginning of 1997 to 2014.
They revealed that they agreed because they “were the most adventurous” of Cohosts, they also said it didn’t always serve them well.
“We got a lot of trouble,” remembered Hasselkeck. “We were the two children in the room who would have problems (with the creator and host) Barbara (Walters) because she had high standards. And sometimes we wanted to reach them, and sometimes we didn’t.”
Shepherd admitted that “I would cry because Barbara was very tough on us” but said that even if the legendary journalist – as died in December 2022 – Did not always approve their discoveries, she has a special place in their hearts.
“I remember the last time we were at The perception Together, you and I, it was Barbara Walter’s last show, “she told Hassbeck.” It was her last show and everyone came. Because Barbara Walters made a difference in all these ladies. ”

Both women agreed that they learned a lot from Walters, and Hasselkeck said they “were her favorites together.”
“I love Barbara,” she said. “She taught me so much. She was the most curious person, so she would investigate everything. She would know more about you than you remembered about yourself. And she would make sure she left so much room to listen and have the best follow -ups. It didn’t matter if she interviewed someone on a horse – she would break the plane and she did it with such dignity.”
“She was hard against us,” Hasselbeck continued. “She had high standards for broadcasting and interviews and research and news. But I learned so much from her.”

“No,” replied Hasselck, much to Shepherd’s surprise.
Instead, Hasselkeck said Walters “would just put her little beautiful hand on me” as a signal to stop, which Shepherd thought entertaining.
“I must have talked too much because I got my foot in the ankle, the girl,” she joked.
Hasselbeck also remembered to squeeze Shepherd’s legs under the table as “a reminder” that they would do so through the show when the days felt difficult.
“We survived,” Shepherd said. “We survived Barbara Walter’s love.”
“So grateful to her,” said Hasselck before Shepherd added, “it definitely changed our career.”
