Several young people have been arrested after a massive brawl broke out in a New Jersey shopping center.

The incident occurred in Menlo Park Mall in Edison about 8 pm local time on Saturday 17 May, according to one statement Shared on social media by Edison Mayor Sam Joshi.

He said the Edison Police Department (EPD) “was announced that over 300 young people gathered at Menlo Park Mall and a brawl followed.”

Joshi added: “No weapons were confirmed by the incident and no damage to young people at this time. Adjacent municipalities were announced and immediately provided mutual support to the Edison Police Department to spread the audience.”

In a comment on his post, Joshi made it clear that none of the young people arrested was from Edison.

There are currently contradictory reports tied to the total number of arrests. Joshi said: “At least four have been arrested,” while Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said seven people were overall arrested, according to My central sweater.
