While she is an experienced news anchor for Today show now, Savannah Guthrie Got her start as a journalist in the 90s when she sported a completely different look than the one she has today.
The 53-year-old reporter was surprised by a fan named Carol at Today Show Plaza Wednesday, September 3, who remembered Guthrie from her days at the local station Kvoa in Tucson, Ariz.
The poster contained a picture of Guthrie from her KVOA days, which Carol said she found “online” and read “look at you ever since.”
In the picture, a very dark -haired Guthrie reports at the Olympics while showing off her helmet with bobbat hair.

“Oh my gosh, hello, well welcome, and I think we don’t have to see it,” Guthrie said, jokingly joking the picture.
“I don’t agree!” her Today co-host Craig Melvin insisted.
“It was very 90s, I think I tried to have ‘The Rachel’,” Guthrie said, referring to Jennifer Anistons iconic Friend Hairstyle for its character Rachel Green.
The NBC Morning Show anchor continued to joke and say, “Thanks for coming, now we can burn it.”

Meteorologist Al Roker Couldn’t help but tease Guthrie about the photo and said, “It’s crazy how you used to dye your hair black!” urges her to clarify, “No, it’s my natural hair color. Let’s change the subject.”
Guthrie has been sincere about her various hair colors over the years, discussing her different appearance 2021 As she celebrated her ten -year -old Today anniversary.
On the question of co-host Dylan Dreyer If there is a look she wants to take back, Guthrie jokey“No, it’s mostly like,” Never try it again. “Usually it’s like” what did I think?! ”
