Runaway Junes singer Stevie Woodward is engaged with Jordan Howell

Round JuneSeeing singers Stevie Woodward is engaged!

He is just an amazing man, ”says Woodward, 31, people about her fiancé, Nashville-based investors and entrepreneur Jordan Howell. “We are compatible in every way, from our attitude to life to our views to what we like.”

Woodward still says she had no idea exactly when Howell would ask the question. “I had zero idea,” she laughs. “I mean, I knew it would come. I knew it would be before New Year because the New Year before, we had talked about our resolutions, and one of them was that we would be involved. ”

On December 21, 2024, Howell asked the question.

“I was just home from a show in Arizona,” reminds Woodward of the proposal that took place at the couple’s Nashville Townhome. “(Howell) had everything prepared. It was perfect. He had light and rose petals all over the house got up and he had my favorite song “When you say nothing at all” played. It was an intimate moment, very private and romantic. It was perfect. “What made the magical evening even more perfect was the fact that just a few hours earlier, Woodward had been in the studio with his volatile June bandmates Jennifer Wayne and Natalie Stovall who recorded a love song.

“The idea for” Being Your “came from this conversation (Howell) and I had about children and if we wanted children one day,” says Woodward about the creative start of the song. “I said,” If it happens to us, it’s fantastic, and if not, it’s okay too. “And that was the conversation that just gave me the idea for the song. In the end we could have this amazing family, but I would be absolutely happy to just be with you.”

Soon after, Woodward continued to write the first verse of “To Be Yours” in her bedroom and eventually brought the song to her fleeting June band comrades. “The girls fortunately loved the idea, and they just brought it to life in a whole new way,” reflects Woodward. “When I wrote the song it was definitely with (Howell) in mind, so he is excited for this one too. It is special for us. ”

Certainly it is a special one in the track in Runaway June, whose harmonies have been a constant in country music since the beginning of the group in 2015 – albeit with a large mix of trio members.

“What makes this song so special is when these three-part harmonies kick in,” says Woodward about “Being yours”, which she wrote together with her volatile June band comrades with Aaron Eshuis and Grammy Award Ron Fair. “It’s just a kind of classic sounding. We haven’t had a chance to do much of that kind of style. And with “being yours”, I think this is where we sit musically as a band like our very best. I think that is who we are in our core and what we love with music in general. It is very stripped down and simple, but also with a powerful meaning. ”

And while the Country Trio is sure to look forward to a hectic year that will include both tournament and new music, Woodward says she is also looking forward to wedding planning.

“Right now we have booked a place, and I think we will do it in October,” she says. “We rent an Airbnb in Mexico, and it will only be the nearest family, and we will be doing a weekend and just celebrate in a really chilly way. It will be more like a family vacation, and we will make a ceremony there, but maybe a larger collection in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where I come from later. ”

For Woodward, she is excited for what is next in her personal and professional life.

“It takes a couple of years for a band to find out their sound, and I mean, the band comes up on year three now since I joined, and we have figured out the sound,” concludes Woodward. “It feels like we are completely genuine in who we are and what we want to share, both in terms of content and musical. So we’re in a really cute place right now, and I’m just happy to release the music that makes us feel that way. ”
