Rock musician Dave Edmund’s wife, Cici Edmunds, has shared an update of his health after a cardiac arrest and says he has survived and is recovery.
Cici, Rocker’s wife of 40 years, published an announcement from Carlene Carter, daughter of June Carter Cash and Carl Smith, at Facebook.
“Bless you sweet beautiful Carlene to share the positive news about my amazing men miraculous recovery. Sends you a lot of love and always light your way. Cici Edmunds,” she wrote in the repost, shared Tuesday, August 5.
“Dave is expected to recover soon and be outside the hospital!” Carter’s original Facebook post read, layers of a throwing photo of itself that performed with Edmunds, 81, “some really good news that we have all been waiting for …” Carter, 69, wrote.
Carter and Dave released a duet, ”Ride easily baby“1980.
The Rock Star, who once played with Ringo Starr & Hans All Starr -Band, led a big cardiac arrest at the end of July, Cici announced in a Facebook post.
At that time, Cici said that Dave “died in my arms” during the incident until a nurse revived him with “Heavy CPR.” She added, “I’m still in shock and I think I have PTSD from the terrible experience.”
Dave was taken to an intensive unit, where he was intubated, Cici wrote. She explained that he “clearly has brain damage and serious memory loss”, among other illnesses.

“Dave will have a very long journey in front of him if he survives. We both have. But knowing that there are friendly people that you all make this extremely difficult journey a little easier,” Cici continued at that time. “Bless you all. Send you all a lot of love and light and always.”

Dave was born April 15, 1944 in Cardiff, Wales, and performed in various bands in his teens and young adulthood. He had his breakthrough with Blues Rock Band Love Sculpture in the 1960s. The band recorded two albums before sharing in 1970.
The musician released his first solo album, Rockpile, 1972. LP contained covers of several songs from the 1950s and 1960s, including Dave Bartholomews “I hear you knocking” and Bob Dylan“Outlaw Blues.”

Dave later formed the band Rockpile with Nick Lowe, Billy Bremner and Terry Williams. The band released the album Seconds of pleasure 1980, which included the single ”Teacher, teacher. ”
The musician released in 2015 instrumental album On guitar Dave Edmunds: Rags & Classics. Two years later, Dave’s friend and collaborator Brian Setzer claimed via Facebook That Dave had retired.
