Remains in the wooden area identified as man missing from another state

Human remains that were discovered in Alabama in June last year have been positively identified as belonging to a man from Texas who disappeared in 2022, the authorities said.

They were told that Robinson was listed as missing around December 2022, and the vehicle he enters was taken from the same area on Interstate 20 in January 2023.

The remains were sent to Alabama Department of Forensic Science for examination. The department later contacted investigators and got Robinson’s dental register, says Sheriffen’s office.

“After conducting a thorough forensic analysis (including both dental and DNA comparisons), the medical examiner officially confirmed the human remains located on the scene belonged to Peter Alexander Robinson,” the authorities said. Robinson’s family was later contacted about the identification.

The sheriff’s office noted that Robinson may have experienced a mental health crisis when he disappeared. Robinson’s cause of death was not clear immediately.

“We want to take this moment to remind everyone that mental health struggle is real and can affect anyone,” said Cleburne County Sheriff Jon Daniel. “If you or someone you know are fighting, please reach out. Help is available.”

In addition to the departments and agencies involved in the case, the sheriff’s office thanked the observant individual who was enough for law enforcement at the discovery of the remains.
