Ray Wise says it took “8 hours” to make hair white for “Twin Peaks”

Ray Wise tells about the great lengths Twin tops Team went to whiten the hair “All White” for the show.

During a call Twin tops: A conversation with the stars in Sony Hall in New York on August 10, 2025, said the 77-year-old actor: “They used huge chemicals on my hair to bleach my hair all white.”

Later, when Wise filmed the 1993 thriller Rising sunHe questioned why he didn’t just have a wig.

“Later I created a movie with Harvey Guy and Sean Connery called Rising sun. And Harvey had the biggest wig. He had a big wig, Wise said.

He continued: “I went through eight hours of chemicals, my hair and then eight or nine days I had to make my roots. So for three or four months I went through this horrible routine with my hair. And then until it started to break, you know, and it became shorter and shorter and shorter and I would, I would have a flat top … I could have a wig!”
