Priscilla Presley says she learned about Elvis Presley’s infidelity by reading Fan Mail

Priscilla Presley says she learned about her then husband Elvis PresleyBusiness in an unexpected way: by reading Fan Mail is sent to their home.

Priscilla, 79, spoke at a panel at Megacon Orlando on Friday, February 7, 79, said it was difficult to navigate in a marriage that was shaded in fame and one where her husband was constantly surrounded by others.

“It was hard, you know, to get used to all the guys, not just Elvis but all the guys, they were like this, and I love them all, but it was a man’s world, and I was really the only woman,” said she.

Further complicated questions were Elvis schedule during the years following their wedding from 1967, Priscilla said.

“He was gone a lot … and I would hear stories and what did it for me was that we had a home in Palm Springs, and … I decided to go up and check the post and make sure the house was Okay, she explained.

When she began to remove the post from the mailbox, she looked through it.

“Much of that was like, ‘Oh Elvis, thanks for the invitation. Charlie Hodge (Elvis’ best friend and trust) asked me to come up and I’m so glad you, you know, you greeted me and my girlfriends,” said she.

And other letters were more clear.

“” Elvis, I had the best night with you. Thank you so much, “Priscilla said, leaving that she thought,” Hi, it gets worse, “as she continued to read.

“I decided, Gosh, he lives another life and I just couldn’t take it. Every time he would go to Vegas or even Palm Springs, it was, you know, it was difficult.”

Despite their marital struggle, Priscilla talked a lot about her time with Elvis and said at Megacon that marriage ended “lovingly.”

“He was famous, he was loving, he was a beautiful, beautiful man, (but) I just couldn’t take it. It just wasn’t a good life for me,” she said, leaving that the two still maintained a close friendship , even after their divorce 1973.

She continued: “We still held our relationship. We did it. He would come into my home without a message and I went with someone by the way, and he would come without announcement. Thankfully, it was two in the morning, and I knew Who it was, so I tried quickly to the door before he called the doorbell, and of course he came in, we went in the kitchen, we talked for a couple of hours. ”

Priscilla’s look at Megacon Orlando comes a little more than a year after she accompanied granddaughter riley keough to the Emmy Awards in January 2024, where Keough was up for outstanding principal actress in a limited or anthology series for Daisy Jones & The Six.

The family’s excursion followed the end of a legal battle that followed after January 2023 Death by Priscilla’s daughter Lisa Marie. Presley and Keough came to a contract agreement on the late singer’s confidence who can, and it was officially approved by a judge in November 2023.
