The police have found “inconsistencies” in the case of the disappearance of 7 month old California boy Emmanuel Haro.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department (SBCSD) revealed in an update on Saturday, August 16 that the investigators found “inconsistencies” in a statement by Emmanuel’s mother, Rebecca Haro, over his alleged kidnappings on August 14.
“Investigators interviewed several individuals, including Emmanuel’s parents Jake and Rebecca Haro,” SBCSD said in a News notice. “During these interviews, Rebecca was confronted with inconsistencies in its first statement and refused to continue with the interview.”
Investigator “cannot exclude foul play” in Emmanuel’s disappearance as a result, according to the police statement.
About 19:47 Local time on August 14, alternates responded to reports that Emmanuel disappeared in Yucaipa from the 34000 Quarter in Yucaipa Boulevard, According to the police.
Rebecca, who got a black eye, told the police at that time that she was attacked outside a store before her son was said to be kidnapped.
“Investigators from our specialized investigation department continue to investigate the reported kidnapping of a seven month old, after the child’s mother reported being attacked outside a store at Yucaipa Boulevard last night,” authorities wrote on x. “K9 scented dogs were placed but the child was not located. No suspected information is available right now.”
Rebecca had visited a park for her son’s football exercise with her husband and their two other children and drove to a Big 5 Sporting Goods shop to get a mouth guard for his son when the incident occurred, according to Ktla.
“I would get the diaper and someone said, ‘Hola’, and I don’t remember anything then,” she said to the outlet.
Rebecca told us ABC 7 EYEWITNESS NEWS“I got him out of the car seat, and I put him down so I can make his diaper ready … Everything I remember, I looked white … I fell on the floor, and as soon as I got up I couldn’t find my son.”
She said she “checked around my truck” and ran into the store before calling 911.

No security films were found in the area where Emmanuel disappeared. An amber alert was not issued in this case, as no descriptions of the suspect or vehicle were provided Per Ktla.
