Pedro Pascal’s character Joel is killed

Warning: This story contains spoilers from the 20 April section of The last of us Season 2.

So: To happened. What (you ask) is “it”? A significant shocks on the second section of HBOs The last of usThe Season 2, that’s what. A twist that increased the entire show.

Pedro PascalJoel, Joel, was killed. He got some brutal bangs from a golf club and then pumulated evil. He finally gave up the ghost when the tip of what seemed to be a fire iron pushed deep into his neck.

Death, it should be noted, would not have been a surprise to someone who has played the game that acts as the show’s source. These people deserve some credit because they have been so narrow about the twist all this time. They could have spent months to sneak and obviously whispering, “Only you wait.”

But what happens if you never played the game? When it slowly went up for you that poor Joel would never open his eyes again, that this was the sleep of eternity and that his death would leave Ellie (Bella Ramsey) Without his fatherly protection, you may have let your jaw just sink on the floor, or formulated something unhelpful along “oh my good”, “wow,” “huh?!” Or just “No. Really?”

Welcome to HBO. Home for Game of Thrones and The red wedding. Here is what happened to the terrible moment:

Early in the hour we found Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) – Who will be the one who makes a martyr from Joel – with confering with his nasty little band of Seattle Freedom Fighters (I use the term with gentle irony). They were up in the mountains, in an abandoned, large window cottage that looks down on the surviving settlement in Jackson.

Abby tried to come up with a plan to get the hands of Joel. Her assignment was revenge, clean and simple. Joel killed Abby’s father, the surgeon who back in Season 1 would work at Ellie to find out why she is immune to the fungal infection that regretted human civilization. His research came unnecessary not to occur.

Meanwhile, Ellie was called in the morning patrol with Jesse (Young tooth), who told her that things have become more worrying outside the city – the infected people have developed into predators with their own bag with tricks, even hidden under the snow. (Another disturbing development: pressing small loops are detected in the city’s pipelines. They look like organic-baby-carot roots, but it wouldn’t be much of a show if that’s what they turned out to be.)

All this required greater vigilance in Jackson: The survivors would prepare for a possible crime against society’s defensive walls.

And so Ellie and Jesse went into the cold wilderness, where Joel and your (Isabela Merced) were also out on the horseback, at some distance outside the city of circumference when a snowstorm swirled through the cold, blue air; Like Abby, Shiving, was on the hunt, alone, with a long -distance rifle; As Ellie and Jesse found protection from the storm in an abandoned 7-11.

Then Abby took an unintentional tumbling down a powdery slope. She slid down to low ground there – just on the money, Jesse! – The monsters hit their mutated heads out of the snow and began to crawl up and out of the open.

Waving his arms and looks like an disorganized mass of marathons planning to eat who they find at the finish line, they chased Abby for how it felt forever. Then: Joel saved her, just in the bang of time, and offered her a horse trip with him and yours – but to where? Where can they escape the furious monsters?

Abby, who never betrayed the deadly nail she carries against Joel, suggested that they all go up to her lodge. She might as well have invited them to the white lotusAlthough at least they would have received a massage and one-to-one counseling before they were slaughtered. (Dever, a very good actress, plays the scene completely straight, with the foremost shudder of recognition when she hears the name “Joel.” Anyone may have let you see a malicious glint in his or her eye.)

Oh, but now Monster has decided – to the extent that they deliberately decide something – to move on and cover the city. Do you know what works as a deterrent to the infected when they are on your gates? You will never guess! Barrels with flammable liquid, ignited by firearms. But only up to a point. If you happen to have some angry attack dogs, it would now be time to release them.

Back at the lodge, Abby wasn’t wasted any time to run his trap. No hot chocolate, not from this one. Dina was knocked out with a strong sedative and Joel was shot in the knee.

After collapsing on the floor, Abby revealed her identity and spelled exactly why she will make him suffer and die: Joel, she said, is just “a lawless piece of S —” who shot a defenseless man, her father, the doctor, in the head.

“There are some things that everyone agrees with is just F —— wrong,” she said.

But it is not as if the Geneva Conventions apply here. So Abby continued and did something that everyone would agree to be in the same category “Just F —— Wrong” and beat Joel with that golf club and her own fists.

Ellie then went into the room. She had gone back in the storm to look for Joel and yours (the word came across the radio they were still out) and then discovered their horses tied outside the lodge. But she was surpassed and easily overwhelmed by Abby’s gang – it was nothing she could do than react in fear when she saw the abused, bloody Joel who tried to wake herself.

His fingers shrugged – light flicker – and he began to lift his head, which at his last moments he wanted to calm Ellie. But then the Abby Coup de Grace delivered and staked him with fire iron.

Ellie scored with despair. “I’ll kill you!” she screamed.

But not in this section, for Abby and the gang were already spooning back to Seattle. They were gone, just like that. And then Ellie and your Joel’s canvas hit the corpse to a horse and pulled him back to town through the snow.
