A robbery at a car dealer did not go to plane after the alleged thief injured himself and called the police for help, according to reports.

Jeremiah Megallon called the police on himself after he is alleged to injured himself on a broken glass while he broke into Patterson Dodge dealer in Tyler, Texas, Wednesday 26, Per CBS AFFILIATE KKTV 11The Kltv and Fox News.

Tyler Police Department was called by Megallon, 38, about 3:35 local time. The police said that the suspect “injured himself badly after throwing a stone through a window” and called after he could not do it out of the building in the same way he came in, according to the stores.

Public Head of Information Andy Erbaugh said to Fox News, “he said he had broken into Patterson Dodge dealer in an attempt to steal a car but could not get out of the building. He had cuts off to break a window at the dealer and crawl through it.”

Erbaugh said there were “several unlocked doors (the suspect) could have used to get out”, Per Fox News.

A member of the car dealer staff claimed that Megallon cut himself on a 1-inch double window, KTLV reported.

Megallon was treated at a local hospital and then sent to Smith County prison, where he was arrested for alleged burglary by a building, Erbaugh confirmed to the outlet.

An employee of the car dealer claimed that Megallon only managed to steal candy from the desk to a seller during the alleged Botcha robbery.

“After 26 years here, the truth is stranger than fiction,” Erbaugh said about the event Per Fox News.
