A man made an astonishing discovery during gardening in his home.
A spokesman for the New York Police Department (NYPD) public information office confirmed to people that officers responded to a 911 call from a 33-year-old man regarding the discovery of “human residue” at a home in Whitestone, a block in Queens. The conversation arrived at about 08:25 local time on Thursday, May 1.
The spokesman said officers “Observed possible ashes” and dentures located at the “rear” of the home.
They went on to people that the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner and an anthropologist has since confirmed that the remains “were from a human cremation and that bone fragments were left.”

The investigation is still ongoing according to NYPD.
Both New York Post and New York Daily News Reported that the man who made the discovery was gardening at the time of the remains was found.

Although there are no state regulations in New York regarding the funeral of human remains on private property, there are local regulations in many areas, according to Ministry of State.
In New York, in particular, one must have permission from the property owner to bury the remains and also achieve a permit, according to the legal information page Nolo.
