The historic Rose garden in the White House looks almost unrecognizable as renovations are ongoing.
New photos reveal how different the area sees almost two weeks after president Donald Trump And the first lady Melania trump Started theirs White house changes June 9th.
What was once the grass center in the rose garden is completely gone, as gravel is now sitting on top of the area, with bulldozers and other construction equipment nearby.
Other pictures obtained by City and country magazinesView dirt that is moved by bulldozers, as well as workers carrying equipment and other objects to the central area.
However, some greenery remains, as the original hedges around the rose garden could still be seen bordering on the area.

The latest photographs differ from pictures taken at the beginning of the renovations. These photos initially showed that a grassy area was excavated and parts of a limestone limit – installed by Melania, 55, during her husband’s first term – was moved to close a concrete surface within the limit.
Donald, 79, previously explained his reasoning to warn the White House area in an interview in March with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham.

“You know, we use (The Rose Garden) for press conferences, and it doesn’t work because the people fall,” he said at that time.
“The terrain can be wet, and the soft ground can be a matter for some,” Trump added. “Women, with the high heels, it just didn’t work.”
At the beginning of the renovations, an official in the White House described the new construction as a “restoration” and told People that Donald and Melania “have deep respect for the white house’s history and for the rose garden.”
“This restoration to Rose Garden preserves the space and is based on the work done in 2020, focusing on improving practical use and guest experience for those who participate in special events,” added the official.
Many have still criticized the new renovations and shared their thoughts on social media.
“Removing Kennedy’s Rose Garden removing a piece of our history in the White House. And for a patio,” a person wrote in a post about X.
