Natalie Portman tells John Krasinski his favorite sexiest man who lives, and it’s not him (exclusive)

John Krasinski does not seem ready to refrain from his Sexiest man alive title.

Talk to his Youth fountain Costar Natalie Portman for People Interview each other Series, Krasinski, 45, joke that he “never” gives up the honor. “I heard that you can fight death for it,” he adds. (For the post, a new SMA will be crowned in November.)

“Do you have anything to say who it goes to?” Portman asks Krasinski, who replies: “No, I do not. It is clear that none of the people I know have anything to say, or they would have said no to me immediately.”

When it comes to Portman’s favorite SMA -Honoree? It is not Krasinski, she admits. “It’s very simple. Swayze,” she says of late Dirty dance star Patrick Swayzewho nabbed the title in 1991.

Portman has worked with several people who have had the honor, including Jude team and Chris Hemsworth – Both “fantastic,” she says. Portman also notes that Krasinski is “very deserving” of the title he “worked so hard to achieve.”

“You struggled for so long,” she adds and teased him. “You had a lot of commitment to that campaign.”

Quips Krasinski, “I just went from Gold’s gym to Gold’s gym and where,” guys, this is what it is about. “And then they laughed at me and I went to the next one.”

Krasinski and Portman’s off-screen Banter serve them well in their new film Youth fountain. They play foreign siblings who reunite – and yes, verbal save – while they hunt for the source of eternal life all over the world.

The couple met briefly at one Golden Globes Party “many years ago”, says Portman, but only really connected to the movie when they started filming together in Vienna.

“You came and you were so prepared and I was so excited to work with you,” recalls Krasinski. “And I was so impressed because you already had your sides out and stuff. And I went,” Oh no, we won’t make pages. “And then I was immediately beaten by how incredibly fun you were.”

As for Portman’s first impression of Krasinski? “You were tall. You’re still long,” she says.
