Race Car driver Connor Zilisch’s winning celebration at NASCAR’s Xfinity series took a scary tour after he had a hard case in Victory Lane at Watkins Glen International.
As he celebrated his victory on Mission 200 on Saturday, August 9, Zilisch, 19, climbed on the roof of his No. 88 Chevrolet. According to ESPNhe then slipped when his left foot was caught in the driver’s window and fell to the ground.
“Connor Zilisch has been transported to a local hospital for further evaluation after today’s Xfinity Series race,” Nascar said in one statement about xadds that the racing star “is awake and awake.”
Zilian later revealed on x That he broke his bone bone during the fall but has since been released from the hospital.
“Thank you all for reaching out today,” he wrote. “I’m out of the hospital and already get better. Thank goodness, CT scanning for my head is clear, I only have a broken bone. Thank you for all the doctors for quick attention and grateful that it was not worse.

IN footage From the incident that CW Sports is broadcast, Zilisch is seen climbing out of the driver’s window in his car while holding a canned drink in one hand. He places one foot on the window and the other foot on the roof of the car.
Zilisch then stands with his arms up in the celebration before unexpectedly loses balance and falls to the ground. The racing car driver is moving before the images are switched off.
The 19-year-old had celebrated his series-leading sixth victory on the Xfinity series when the incident occurred. Zilisch had an eventful race after encountering the lead to the fifth in a restart, before taking over in the leading position again in the last four turns, Per ESPN.

“He did such a good job to come back through the field and get the lead,” said Crew Chief Mardy Lindley after the race, Per ESPN. “Pray for Connor right now when he’s ok. I think he’ll be fine.”
After his injury, Zilisch will not participate in the Cup race at Watkins Glen on Sunday, August 10, according to the outlet. He was going to make his fourth cup start this season for Trackhouse Racing when he competed in a triple header.
