It’s a big night in Hollywood!

On Saturday, February 22, some of the biggest stars met the red carpet for the 56th NAACP image awards at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California. The theme of this year’s ceremony is “our stories, our culture, our excellence,” when the organization celebrates the black artists’ contributions to television, films, music and more.

Nominees include Cynthia ErivoThe Keke PalmerThe Kendrick LamarThe Available AYOThe ShaboozeyThe Beyoncé and Colman Domingo. Former vice president Kamala Harris is also set to receive the chairman’s award for his work in public service. Glory has previously been awarded Samuel L. JacksonBarack Obama, the late John Lewis and Tyler Perry.

As for the nominations, The piano lesson – In the lead role Jackson, John David Washington and Danielle Deadwyler – leads in the movie categories with 14 nods, followed by Claren’s book With sex. At the same time, Edebiri dominated the TV categories with four individual nominations for their work on Bear and Saturday Night Live.

The price exhibition, hosted by the actor-comedian Deon Cole, will be broadcast live at. 20 et on bet and cbs.
