A pregnant woman says that she and her partner’s choice of baby names have moved drama in her family-separately with the poster’s mother-in-law.
In a post Shared with RedditThe anonymous woman writes: “I am pregnant and my wife and I have decided to name our daughter Georgia. My father -in -law is George. Our daughter is not named after him; we just love the name.”
But the poster’s mother-in-law-George’s ex-wife-is dissatisfied with the name choice.

“They had a riot divorce and are not on good terms and she feels damaged by the similarity in the names,” the post continues.
With more context, Redditor notes that they are “very close” for both her mother -in -law and father -in -law and “see them regularly.”
“They divorced 22 years ago and have both got married again for over a decade,” she adds.
Still, she ends her post by asking if she and her partner would choose another name for her daughter, or if her mother -in -law is “exceeding boundaries.”

Other Reddit users weighed in the situation, with one that indicates a compromise. “If you really love the name Georgia, maybe suggest that a nickname mile can use, like Gigi,” they suggested. “Having a name so similar to a family member can be confusing, so a nickname can also solve the problem.”
The comment continues, “If you are not 100% sold by the name, maybe you will find one so much or more. It would be a way to keep the peace and would be thoughtful to your mile, and you don’t have to think about it like panding her. Name is a very personal choice, and it really is just between you and your spouse. But finding the family’s harmony when a new child is expected
However, another commentator offered another time. “Don’t agree. This is one of the things that miles do not actually have the right to have an opinion about,” they added.
