A 22-year-old mother is dead while her husband and toddler daughter are injured after a car crash in Alabama.
Around 11:20 a.m. local time on Sunday, Oct. 19, a Ford F-250 struck a Toyota Camry — in which Amber Lee Blackwood was a passenger — on US Route 278, according to local outlets AL.com. After the truck struck the Camry, a Chevrolet 1500 also struck the vehicle, the outlet reported, citing Gregory Corble, a senior state trooper.
Amber was pronounced dead at the scene in Etowah County. Four others were injured in the interstate collision, including her husband, Timothy “Noah” Blackwood, and their 1-year-old daughter, Ava.
Noah, 21, suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital, as was the couple’s daughter, according to AL.com. It is currently not clear if they are still in the hospital.
Another person involved in the crash, 27-year-old Larriann N. Sanders, who was a passenger in the Chevrolet that hit the Camry, was also hospitalized with injuries.
