NHL player Noah Dobson Is married!
The Canadian ice hockey defender, 25, recently traded from New York Islanders to Montreal Canadiens, married Sports Reporter Alexa Serowik On Canada Day, Tuesday, July 1, in Newport, Rhode Island. The couple’s traditional wedding ceremony took place in St. Mary’s Church and was followed by a “Gatsby vibe ‘reception at Rosecliff mansion.
“It has been wholeheartedly been a fairy tale and dream. The whole thing is a fairy tale.”
The wedding festivities started on Monday June 30 with a “Preppy New England” Welcome Party at Clarke Cooke House. The attitude in the 19th century location contained yachting interior with pink and green grates, banquets and mahogany bars with light pieces and cocktails. Guests wore cocktail clothes with pops of pink and greens, and Serowik a custom black Vera Wang dress with accents of the two colors.
The following day, the couple and their 200 wedding guests gathered in St. Mary’s, the same church there John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Band tied.
Classically trained opera singer and Boston Bruins Anthemist Todd angill Sing at the ceremony, and thrompets and string players also performed. Suitably, the church’s historic pipe organ was built in Canada.
A Catholic mass was taken by a family friend, Father John Arens from St. Sebastian’s School in Massachusetts.
“Marriage for us is a sacred promise,” says Serowik.
Serowik went down in the hallway with a “traditional” Draw Vinieris Wedding dress from Rivini collection. Her hair was designed by Goldi Schwartzand her makeup was applied by Catmignano. Later she changed to a “sparkling and perhaps somewhat unexpected” dress designed by Power Lahav.
During the cocktail hour, Angilly Canada and the US national songs performed. Outside was a Tuscan table, fresh seafood and a special artinar.
After being a theater Major at Boston College, the bride knew how to “bring drama” in her reception. In addition to employing the 70s tape Super Trans AmBoston-based DJ Snap and singer Nikki Nicole, she ordered custom lighting from Attreehouse.
“We leaned to Red for Rosecliff,” says Serowik. “Red roses, red bedding, red lighting and also some bright pops of hot pink flowers and green mixed. We wanted to create a modern Gatsby Party on the original Gatsby Movie Mansion and also Bind in our July 1 Canada day in the United States for Noah. ”

After Dobson and Serowik had their first dance to one Morgan Wallen Song, The Newlyweds and their guests were served dinner, which is catered for by Blackstone Cateers. Entrans were roasted cod, charged filet and roasted vegetable ravioli.
Slices of the “very large” wedding cake adorned with fresh red roses were served for dessert.
“Noah’s levels are his favorite – traditional carrot cake with cream cheese frosting – and my levels are my favorite – lemon cake with lemon buttercream frosting,” says Serowik, noting that they also had some layers of traditional white cake.
As an extra treat, french fries and grilled cheese were taken out like late at night.
The wedding was planned Katie Ryan event.
Dobson and Serowik met on the exclusive dating app Raya in January 2022.
“Both of us were on a flight so we stopped talking all night on the app,” remembers Serowik. “I fled home to Boston from Miami after covering Patriots versus the Dolphins game with ABC6 and he fled back to New York from a car ride with the team.
She continues, “After weeks with a lot of facetiming, texting and talking on the phone, I visited him in New York – I was based in Boston at that time – and the rest was history.”
Dobson asked the beach at the sunset on Prince Edward Island (PEI) on July 8, 2024.
“He picked me up – in sweating, no makeup, hair still wet from the shower – and we got ice cream and went to eat it in a beautiful place on the beach,” reminds Serowik. “Before I knew it was down on one knee and suggested.”
The number eight is now not only “magic” for the couple because it represents their engagement date, but because it has played several roles throughout their love story.
“Not only Noah’s number for New York Islanders, but also my birthday, April 8, my home address and Noah’s own personal meaning bound to the number,” explains Serowik. “He wore #53 in junior hockey for his late grandfather … five plus three equals eight. And eight represents Infinity symbol. Canada Day (July 1), the date of our wedding, is seven plus one is equal to eight.”
Now the couple is building their first home on Pei.
“We are happy to start our family at two and then grow our family from there,” says Serowik. “We look forward to enjoying the rest of the summer golf, practicing the sliding deck, jet skiing, training in our new gym, spend time with our families and friends and getting ready for Noah’s next hockey season.”
But first she and Dobson take a honeymoon in Hawaii.
