A woman is considering canceling the family’s family Summer holidays Plans because of her husband’s high snoring.

In a post on the British based community forum Mumnet.comThe woman shared that she, her husband and their children just returned from a trip and instead of feeling relaxed and well rested after the resort, she is “exhausted.” Although she booked an accommodation with three bedrooms so that she could sleep alone in a separate room from her husband, she could not escape the “exaggerated noise” as her husband did with her snoring.

“I could still hear every snort despite earplugs,” she complained.

Now she fears the prospect of another sleepless holiday – and feels the desire to bail.

“We will go on vacation again this summer for a week, but I just can’t. I get so worried about going away nowadays just for this and worry about where we live will have thin walls or that it will keep the kids wake up,” wrote the woman and adds, “it also costs more to get the extra room.”

Now she seeks advice if she should just “get over it” and go on the summer trip or cancel the holiday because “snoring is hell.”

Another reader chimped in: “I recommended a mouth cover that you form to the shape of the mouth/teeth and it adjusts your jaw position to prevent snoring. Worth a try. DH says when I wear it, I don’t snore at all.”

Someone else, who said that her own husband is “a terrible kinder”, shared how she handles the question when traveling. “When we go away, my (spouse) carries a mouth guard and a nasal pass.” It doesn’t stop the snoring completely, but I can at least get enough sleep to survive a holiday. ”
