The Miss Universe The organization has commented on one of its own deaths, Kseniya Alexandrova, which represented Russia at the 2017 competition.
The global competition institution Shared an Instagram Post on Thursday, August 14, two days after Alexandrova’s death at the age of 30. She died in the hospital due to complications from injuries that she suffered after a moose that crushed through her car windshield in July.
“The Miss Universe organization expands its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to family, friends and all whose lives were affected by the light from Miss Universe Russia 2017, Kseniya Alexandrova,” read the caption.

It continued, “her grace, beauty and spirit left an unforgettable mark on the Miss Universe family and then. May her memory continue to inspire kindness, strength and love of all those who were lucky enough to know her.”
The Pageant’s words in tribute accompanied a video compilation from Alexandrova’s participation in the competition. Movies showed that she went on stage in dresses and her “Russia” screen and posed for photos that were set on sound from one of her interviews.
“I want all people around the world to believe in themselves and always have a dream,” said the late model, which translated into English subtitles. “We should be strong and (believe) in ourselves and never give up on our dreams. In this world everything is possible and nothing is impossible.”
Alexandrova suffered serious brain damage from the deadly road event in Tver Oblast, Russia earlier this summer, per Russian news source Rossiyskaya Gazeta. She and her newlywed husband drove home from Rzhev on July 5 when their car collided with the moose, the outlet reported.
“From the moment (the moose) jumped out to the impact, went for a split second. I had no time to do anything,” Alexandrova’s husband told Rossiyskaya Gazeta In a statement translated from Russian.
He remembered to find Alexandrova – who sat in the passenger seat – unconscious after influence. “Everything was covered with blood,” her husband said.
The man also told us Rossiyskaya Gazeta That other drivers stopped to help, and rescue services arrived at the stage within about 15 minutes. Alexandrova was transported to a hospital in Moscow, where she died for a month later.

According to The Pageant Queen’s Instagram, she and her husband married four months before the accident, and in addition to modeling, Alexandrova was also a practicing psychologist. She received a degree from Moscow Pedagogical State University, according to one Personal update Shared to her Instagram in November 2022.
Alexandrova’s Modeling Agency, Modus Vivendis, confirmed the news of her death in a statement Shared on Instagram on August 13.
“Kseniya was light (and) talented. She knew how to inspire, support and give warmth to everyone around,” read the agency’s statement, which was translated from Russian. “For us, she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness and inner strength.”
