Milo Manheim says that there is so much “reason” that Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies Are such good friends after they recently got to know both artists.

Manheim, who plays with Gillies in the off-Broadway production of Little Shop of HorrorsTalked to people exclusively at Disney 2025 Upfronts in New York City. During the conversation, the actor explained that he met Grande when she came to the show to support Gillies, who she was close for several years.

“They are both such sweets,” said Manheim, 24. “I mean, I have spent so much time with Liz and she is as a family now at this time. We have gone through so much together. I have learned so much from her, and the more I get to know her, the more incredible I think she is.”

“Ariana came to see the show,” he added and noted, “it’s so sensible that they are friends. They are both such kind souls, both such theater girls. As it was, it was really nice to see Ariana there support Liz, and I could just see them being like little girls again to enjoy being in the theater.”

Gillies, 31, published photos from Grande April 26 -Visits in the show and spoiled the postal text, “Thank you for coming to the store, my dingus !! ♥ ♥ 🪴.”

Grande, 31, participated Little Shop of Horrors With boyfriend Ethan Slaterand A source told people That they arrived about an hour early “and hung on stage with the role.”

The source went on to describe the visit as “adorable”, and added, “they were both so friendly and warm with the role and so supportive production. Ariana gave all hugs and led Liz a pot plant for the women’s accommodation room.”

Grande and Gillie met as children in the lead role in the Broadway production of 13. The couple was later thrown on the popular Nickelodeon series Victoriouswhich went from 2010 to 2013.

The series, which followed a group of teenagers attending a high school for performing arts, was Grande’s first TV role and served as a launch plate for their music career.

The couple continued to remain close to the years, with Grande knocked on Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll alum to show up in her “Thanks, next” video 2019.

“We are absolutely close. She is like blood for me, she is like my sister,” Gillie’s previous PEOPLE In 2015. “So if we do not have a massive falling, nothing will happen there. We lived together, I have known her since what feels like the beginning of time.”

Grande shared one Heartly birthday tribute To Gillies on his Instagram stories for his 30th birthday 2023 and wrote, “Happy birthday to the most beautiful, brilliant, talented, funniest person I have ever met in my life @lizgillz,” over a sincere selfie by the couple.
