MGK says he is a “cheerleader” for daughter Casie in rare joint excursion (exclusive)

On Saturday, June 21, musicians, 35, went out at Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with his 15-year-old daughter, Casie, for what marked a rare Orange The appearance of the mat for the duo.

MGK wore a completely black fit with its token blonde hair, while Casie chose a light purple dress at the moment. During their Far-Dotter excursion, she introduced MGK’s performance of her latest single “Cliche. ”

Elsewhere under their chat with people at the event, MGK explains how life has been with a new child in the mix. Pop-punk star and ex Megan Fox Welcome daughter Fairy tale In March, and as MGK says, he recently wrote “a cradle on a ukulele.”

“Megan is in the No Sleep Club, surely,” he says about their adaptation to newborn life. “I’ve traveled a little, just made some performances. So on these nights, I certainly, just turn on the snooze button a million times and I catch all this.”

“Women are in the rough ditches in the newborn process, but my specialty is music and laughter and what I can do to make her smile and be introduced to the world with love,” he adds.

When it comes to Casie, it has been an older sister so far has been “fun”, she tells People.

“It’s really just so cute. I love her so much,” she says. “It’s so cute. It’s like, differently, do you know?”

MGK and Casie’s excursion came one day after they were seen sharing a hug outside his performance on TodayS Citi Concert Series. Dad, who shares Casie with ex Emma Cannon, has previously taken her to KCAS 2017 and 2019, and in particular Casie brought with her to 2021 American Music Awards.

MGK’s new album, Lost Americanawill arrive on August 8th. He tells People, before he slims at the end of his performance of the new single this weekend, he wants to be “a ship for a really happy project in a very dark time.”

“So I think it will of course find the way to people’s ears. Good music goes a long way,” he says. “And I still believe in albums and people who are, ‘yo, I just heard a fantastic album.’ Then you have to hear it.
