Matthew Modine of ‘Stranger Things’ reminds to meet Millie Bobby Brown (exclusively)

Matthew Modine shared that he will never forget the first time he met Stranger Things costs Millie Bobby Brown.

Modine spoke to people when he attended the opening evening for Stranger Things: The First Shadow On Broadway at Marquis Theater Tuesday, April 22. During the conversation, the actor opened his first meeting with Brown as he filmed the first season in the Netflix series.

“The first day I met Millie … she was 11 years old,” Modine, 66, call from the 2015 moment. “And she sat in the little cell (for her character), and everyone was so happy about her, and they were so happy to introduce me to work with her. And she was just so magical and professional and mature and a child, it was … you know, you know the thing they always say,” she has it “?”

“When she was 11, I went,” Wow, this little girl has it, “he adds.

Brown, now 21, plays fan favorite eleven on the series, while Modine played Dr. Martin Brenner, her enigmatic surrogate father figure, in seasons one and four.

Modine deeply deeper in her dynamics with Brown while he spoke at Stranger Things Epic Cons Panel In October.

“It starts and ends with Millie,” he told the audience about his best memories. “I met her when she was 11 years old on the set. I fell in love with the innocent 11-year-old child.”

He continued to share that Brown is “so focused, so determined, so intelligent”, and added, “It’s a friendship I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”

And their binding extends beyond the set. Modine also served as Official at Brown’s wedding to Jake Bongiovi in May 2024. A photo of the ceremony was shared by Bongiovi, 22, in his Instagram account in October.

Under the red carpet conversation with people, Modine shared her thoughts on the new stage show, which takes place in 1959 and acts as a prequel for the TV series.

“From everything I have heard, it’s bigger, more scary (than the show) and many hungs in the game, so I look forward to seeing it,” he says.

And while The first shade have a younger version of his Stranger Things Character, Modine revealed that Alex Breaux, the actor who plays Dr. Brenner in the paragraph, was not enough for him for tips or guidance.

“Because he is ahead of me,” Modine said, referring to the character’s timeline. “Ask me how to play me in the future – it would be like predicting the future – so he had to learn to be himself at the moment.”
