Man storms NYC Office Building with attack rifle, shoots several people and then yourself

Four people are dead, including an off-service police, and another person was injured after a pistol man opened fire at 345 Park Avenue in New York City on Monday July 28, police say. The gunman also died of a self -destroyed gunshot wound.

The gunman, who was now identified as Shane Devon Tamura from Las Vegas, had been alleged to wear a shot -resistant vest and could be seen on the camera armed with an M4 rifle before entering the office building. The area was placed under Lockdown until officials confirmed that he had been “neutralized.”

NYC Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch confirmed in a post on XThat the scene had “contained” and “the lonely shooter” was deceased.

Tamura shot herself on the building’s 32th floor, but the stage remains active.

During a press conference at the Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, the deceased police were identified as 36-year-old Didarul Islam. The other victims’ identities were kept in anticipation of the family’s notification. Another victim was a male and two others were female.

“We think this is a lonely shooter and there is no active threat to the public,” Tisch said during the press conference.

“The perpetrator is neutralized at this time,” continued Adams. “Those who are in the building, we ask them to stay when police make a floor search for flooring. We believe again, the perpetrator is neutralized right now. We are going to the hospital to talk to the family whose loved ones were involved in this incident.”
