Warning: This story contains spoilers from Love is blind season 8.

Sara Carton opens up about the aftermath of her Love is blind Divide from Ben Mezzenga.

The couple went to their wedding anniversary at Love is blind Season 8, but when it was time to say “I do,” Sara said she couldn’t marry legs because she “always wanted a partner to be on the same wavelength” and legs did not meet her requirements. In response, Ben, 28, offered another solution: stay with Sara and continue to “grow” their relationship.

Sara seemed caught by her proposal, troublesome laughed and told him: “We’ll see.” Later, she told People that she thought his answer was “disrespectful” and could not see herself to meet him after the split.

“With the whole concept” you go away forever “, I was, it is disrespectful in a way, of what we registered for and the whole point of why we are here,” she said. “I also say” no “to a marriage, why would I continue to meet someone? If you should say” no “to it, why even continue the relationship?”

But after that day, the two continued to live together for about two weeks, Sara revealed on the reunion of Season 8 on March 9. Then, just as they planned to move in together in Nashville for their new temporary job, Ben stopped things out of the blue, she claimed.

Now Sara opens to people about what really went down.

“After the wedding day, with all my hesitation I knew, I was like, I can’t say” yes “to a marriage today,” she says. “But of course I constantly hope that things could work or maybe without all the chaos of not living a normal life right now, but later to be able to come back to our routines … I might think it could work.”

So Sara stopped the course.

“We continued to live together for a week or two after the wedding. And one day he lost me,” she continues. “We had a discussion that we were together, and that one day … He removed me from finding my friends. I didn’t hear much from him because he was out with friends who drink, which is good. He was going to a twins and having fun. But I didn’t hear much from him, saw that he took me away from finding my friends.”

It gave Sara “the most clear of who Ben is,” she reveals. “I was shocked and I felt superduped that he was just waiting for time just to let me go. But I mean, it was all meaningful with everything that came to my attention throughout the filming.”

She adds, “He was like,” Oh, I thought we were divided. “I’m like,” that was never the discussion.

Before this, Sara says that she had seen several “red flags” in Ben’s behavior that made her ask if he was really spouse material or on the show for the right reason. The worry included a video that pops up on Tiktok and showed a woman who cried over a man’s alleged acts of abuse, which he later admitted was about him and claims he Distributed Youtube -Sit card to girls to market his side.

“Tiktok was huge, so it told me that I needed to learn much more about legs than I already know,” says Sara. “I needed to ask him the harsh questions.”

As a result “I questioned whether he was there for the right reason,” she admits. “I have no doubt that we had a good connection because we really did. I would not have said” yes “if I didn’t feel we had a good connection. But after a while with everything that was happening and then the Youtube cards and then my friends told about their experiences with him on U, it just doesn’t add. So it could have been the underlying motifs there.”

Sara also examined her own intentions. “In retrospect, I think, if I were to say” yes “(on their wedding day) and I led him to believe or I told him I would say” yes, “I feel he honestly would have said” yes “just because he wanted to do it longer and be a couple coming out of this,” she adds. “It’s just my assumption … I wouldn’t be surprised.”

For his part, Ben said at the reunion that he regretted that he had no deeper conversations with Sara and denied any errors.

He said it was his “understanding” that they were “divided when she left” for Nashville and added that he “interrupted it” because he thought it was the “healthiest way to get over someone.”

“On Friday night’s date, I remember it came to a fairly safe end,” he said about their date before going to Nashville.
