When Olivia Brado2-year-old daughter Salem first began to say “Dad, Dad,” she assumed it was because the little girl wanted to visit her grandfather. But after a closer look at the toy in her hand, she realized that it was because Salem thought the toy was actually modeled after her grandfather.
Brado, who lives in Michigan, tells people that Salem had recently inherited a bag of hand-me-down toys from his cousins. In the bag there were a number of Fisher -Prices popular “Little People” toys, a number of figures, vehicles and interactive games for toddlers.
“We were at my mother’s house and we dumped on the bag with toys and she started picking them through,” says Brado. “Then I heard her say, ‘Dad, Dad.’ ”
As Brado explains, she often takes Salem to visit her grandfather in her workplace after taking her to visit Grandma. “So when I heard,” Dad “over and over again, I thought she just wanted to see him.”
But then Brado and her mother Salem noticed one of the toys tightly in the fist.
“My mom looked at it and said, ‘Does she think it’s your dad?’ “Says Brado. “And I looked closer and sure enough, it looks just like him. My mom and I looked at each other and just started to die.”

Brado immediately got his phone and took a video of the sweet moment and uploaded it to Tiktok With the caption: “My daughter looked at one of her toys and immediately thought it was my dad.”
She also sent the video to her dad, who replied, “lol.”
“I answered and said, ‘But that’s you.’ And he said, “I see it.”
Brado also dropped the video in the family group Chat – her father, David, is one of nine – and “every aunt, uncle and cousin were like,” Oh it looks like him. “

“I’ve had many comments,” says Brado. “A girl said that every time her child sees Wreck-it Ralph, she says it’s her father.”

Other comments urge Brado to get backups from the toy, only if it ever gets lost.
“I don’t think it’s done anymore. I’ve seen many of them on eBay,” she adds. “And she has some favorite toys but it’s really one of them.”
Still others may say that Brado should get the toy manufacturer in the conversation.
“Many people are like,“ You better tag Fisher-Price. Do they know that they owe your dad royalties for using his equality? “” Brado joke.
Brado, a professional special effects makeup artist, really has ideas on how to keep the fun and say she hopes to convince her father to dress up as the character – and bring him to life for her daughter – Halloween came.
“I beg him,“ Please, can we get you in pairs overalls? “
