Lindsay Lohan gets the Vanguard Award on Cinemacon 2025

The Freakier Friday The actress, 38, was honored under the annual Las Vegas Convention’s Closing-Night Big Screen Achievement Awards on Thursday, April 3, giving a moving acceptance number when she accepted tonight’s Vanguard Award.

“Thank you so much for this award. It means more than you know to me,” she said. “I have grown up in this industry and I am so proud to still do what I love. There is nothing like the film’s magic.”

She continued and remembers the feeling of seeing herself acting on the great screen for the “first time” in Mother trapwhich was released in 1998 when she was 12 years old. “It was so surreal, but I felt at home,” she said about the experience.

Lohan issued several thanks and formed Disney for “always” to believe in her and husband Bader Shammas “for his constant support and constantly encourage me.” She also celebrated “A Lifetime Love” which she shares with her fans.

“Thanks Cinemacon for believing in me,” she concluded.

Lohan has been working in film since the late 90s, especially in roles throughout his childhood and teens in films such as Mother trap (1998), which marked her large screen debut, as well as Freaky Friday (2003), Confessions of a teenage drama queen (2004), Mean Girls (2004), Herbie: Fullloaded (2005) and Just my turn (2006).

More recently, Lohan has appeared in Netflix -Romantic comedies in 2024 Irish desire and Our little secretMarks what many fans have called the actress’s “Lohanaissance.”

She will then repeat her co -leading role as Anna Coleman opposite on screen Mom Jamie Lee Curtis Like Tess Coleman in Freakier FridayThe Long -awaited sequel to Freaky Fridayas they both tease at Cinemacon.

Anna now has her own daughter and an soon stepdaughter,” teasing a synopsis. “When they navigate in the countless challenges that come when two families melt, Tess and Anna discover that the lightning can really hit twice.”

Lohan was honored with several other stars at Cinemacon on Thursday, as Channing tatumwho received the decade of performance in the film award and Feel they armedwhich was named Action Star of the Year before his upcoming John Wick Spinoff girl Ballerina.

Iconic comedy -duo Cheech & Chongactor David Jonssonactress Madeleine McGraw and actor Ben Wang were also recognized at the ceremony, as well as Glen Powellwhich was named Star of the Year.

Cinemacon’s CEO Mitch Neuhauser said earlier in a statement obtained by Hollywood Reporter“The award for big screen performance is (the exhibition’s way of saying thanks to the talented and creative people who make magic on movie screens all over the world. They are important for what is the movie experience.”

“This year’s Honorees has entertained the audience all over the world and we are pleased to celebrate their performance at this year’s Big Screen Achievement Awards,” added Neuhauser.
