Laurie Metcalf teases ‘The Conners’ is ‘will not get a large bow bound’ (exclusive)

With only six sections left, the countdown to the end of Conners is officially on.

During a visit to the set of the beloved Roseanne by-product, Laurie Metcalf – Who plays Jackie Harris – tells people that viewers can expect there will be some loose ends when the season ends after seven seasons.

“There is a lot to end and I think the authors really work hard to get everyone’s stories like …” It won’t get a big bow tied with Conners. ”

“And it will remain believing in their story, what happens to them in the last section,” she continues. “But it is a very short time to end these many seasons of a family that has covered decades.”

Metcalfs Costar Lecy Goranson, who plays as Becky Connor, adds that there are no plans to “do anything crazy or kind of culminating.”

“It’s just not really our style. Our show is about real people and real situations, so I feel we don’t have to,” says Goranson, 50. “It is only enough to say that the characters move on in the future together as a family.”

While Connors may be getting ready for the next chapter, the actors reflect why the show has reasoned with fans over the years.

When asked why Sitcom has joined the viewers, Emma Kenney – who plays Harris Connor – responds: “Relatability, family dynamics. There is a character that I think everyone can relate to, whether it is one or the other combination.”

“I think we go a line between drama and comedy which is very unique,” adds Goranson. “And I think because of that, it’s a little surprising to the audience when things get more serious, more grounded.”

Goranson Explains That the Show Addresses Issues That “Are Topical, That Are Hard To Talk About Sometimes, And We do It With Comedy,“ Explaining, “I THINK THE GRAVITAS OF IT IS UNIQUE TO Our Sitcom, And Its and People… I’ll be free. You, but I’m hear a lot about scene work, situations that we are in, that it really gets to the core of people. ”

The stars on The connections Realize that it will not be easy to say goodbye to the series, but still hope to find a way to work together in the future.

“I’m already thinking about the next thing for all of us, including the crew,” Goranson reveals. “I’m an optimist and I think:“ How do I keep us all together? I just refuse to think it’s done. ”

“It would be interesting if we broke off in small groups and did other projects,” Metcalf adds. “And could see each other in different comos on other things here and there. It will be interesting.”

“It’s always the saddest part, I think, to pack a project, especially so long -lasting, is that it is really difficult to get the same people in the same room again, but clearly, you proved that it is not impossible,” concludes Kenney and refers to The connections premiere more than two decades after Rosanne completed.
