Naomi Judd and Larry Strickland endured a lot throughout his marriage.
IN Judd -Family: The truth is said (Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11), the widower of the land star confirmed that she once shot a gun at her husband, 79, after learning that he had cheated on her.
In a VoiceOver of her memoir from 1993 Love can build a bridgeJudd explained how the couple was “wild, crazy, passionate in love”, but her husband was never home.

She then recalled a woman from the northeastern and called her home in Nashville in the 1980s and said how much “she loved and missed” Strickland.
When he returned home, Judd recalled to tear up photos of the two and throw their belongings in a junk bag in their garden.
During a tense moment in docusa series, Strickland saw a scene from Love can build a bridge TV movie where Kathleen York, which plays Naomi, shoots Bruce Greenwood, who plays Strickland, when she finds out he is cheated on her.
Afterwards, Strickland reflected in the moment and confirms the events.
“Well, it really happened,” he said. “That’s all I can say. That’s all I have to say. It happened.”
Judd and Strickland met in 1979 and tied a decade later in May 1989.
The couple married for 33 years before the “River of Time” singer died at the age of 76 In April 2022.

IN An interview with People in December 2022Strickland reflected on the time he spent the care of his late wife.
“For the past 13 years or more I was with her around the clock,” he said. “I never left the house without Naomi knowing where I was going and when I was going back. When it comes to taking care of myself, I’m not sure it fits my situation. When you have a friend who has a mental illness, you go that way with them.”
