All College cooper Ever wanted to do is make their fans feel something When it comes to his music. And when that happens, Cooper says that he simply cannot get enough of the unchanging high that comes from it.
“I live for it S —,” says Cooper, 25, in a new interview with People. “I live for the people who come to me and tell me that this Song got them through this divorce or to The song got them by losing a parent. It is really cool to be able to get music to get in touch with people. ”
It is a connection that Cooper has had for a large number of years now, since the power plant’s singer was only a teenager when he struggled on the country music scene as early as 2022 with the release of his critically acclaimed label-debut album Boy from Anderson County to the Moon.
But with the release of his brand new album Love you, good nightCooper may just be on his way to a delight from his fans that he has never known before, because perhaps he has never been more truthful than on the 14 intestinal busts that make up every ounce in his new project.
Take, for example, the title track.
“That everything was really S —,” says Cooper, who first started writing songs at the age of 11 and stopped writing “Love You, Goodnight” with Andrew Baylis. “It’s the push and the pull of the whole deal, trying to find out who’s fake and what’s real. In this industry, you meet people that are just not your kind of person, or you can tell they are not your vibe.
Sure, the truths about “love you, goodnight” are many, especially as Cooper admits he had found himself spend more and more time on the road As his career continued to break out and less time at home with Mrs. Jillian and their three children Josie, 6½, Charlee, 4½ and Karter, 2.
“I spent more time away from my children and my wife, and it basically had me to constantly question,” is that right? “” Reminiscent of Cooper, which has opened to such as Gelé reel and Koe Wetzel and is currently on His own Love you, good night Headlining -Tour.
“My wife is always the one who has driven me. She is the reason why I even do this. My wife has been my best friend since we went in fourth grade – she is the person who is easiest for me to talk to and the person I want to be with all the time.”
It is this insight that Texas native landed on the bridge of “Love You, Goodnight.” “It is my favorite part because up to the bridge it is softer and it is in a lower register and I sing with a low voice,” explains Cooper about the song he says is “one of the songs in my life that means most to me.” “But then it kicks the bridge in and hits you in the face.”
And it is the musical punch that Cooper’s fans may not seem to get enough and a constantly present place against the gut coming again and again under his new album, but especially on prominent songs like “Getaway.”
“It has a 12-string on the introduction and it’s just about the fast, hard, crazy, crazy love story when you first get the butterflies and all the bulls — and how you would do something for someone when you first meet them,” says Cooper for the song he completed last summer with colleagues Jaxson Free, Joybeth Taylor. “It’s just the crazy feeling I wanted to enclose in a song that basically says: ‘Wow, I would do it kill Someone for you. ”
Then it is the driving “hate you too”, where Cooper looks to release its inner rock god through a good lyrical buzzing. “We tried to write a song that may be for someone you hate, but also may be for the person you love,” recalls Cooper, who also goes with vocal forces with The voice winner Danielle Bradbery on the captivating “one last.” “When we are in the writing room, I always try to write in almost like a conversation. The whole idea of, ‘I hate you, I love you, never say goodbye.’ People have known it before. ”
People have also known what Cooper continues to feel in his personal life as well. “I’m tough, but I’m a sad guy every day when I wake up and see how big they get,” he says about his fast growing children. “If I’m gone for two weeks, they can all be completely different. All I think about when I’m on my way is my family.”
