Kelsea Ballerini was caught between a stone and a hard place on The voice.
In the Monday Monday 17 section of the Singing Competition Show, the coach had to choose between holding Alanna Lynise or Brook Wood after their battle round Miley Cyrus‘”Angels like you” – and she turned to coach Adam Levine Too soothing.
Before the “Heartfirst” singer, 31, made his decision, her co -coach offered feedback on the performance.
“You’re so cute together,” said the coach Michael Bubble. “When you both came out, you made the decision that you would be in now. Alana I love your voice. I love that it is breath and airy and sweet. Brook, you have so wonderful clarity, especially when it gets big. Today I felt the battle won by Brook.”
John Legend Added that he “loved” her tone – but there were “moments throughout that was pitchy.” Still, he thought her voice is “so cool.”
“All of Me” singer added “, Brook, your voice is so powerful. I generally thought that your performance was more at point, even though I prefer Alanna’s tone a little more.”
The Maroon 5 Frontman first addressed Lynise and recalled her blind audition.
“I turned to you Alanna and I know how good you are so I might go with you,” he said. But, “Brook was a big, huge surprise with this giant voice.”
“Sugar” singer added “, none of this is helpful.”
When it was Ballerini’s turn, she first delivered her thoughts on the performance – and admitted that she did not know “what to do.”
“Alanna, your voice. There is so much shade for it. I feel we could really see it in the verses and, yes, there were pitch problems but that’s good, it’s okay, it happens,” said “blindside” singer.
“Brook, you are just such a power center. You will be an artist no matter what. I will say, the first half of the performance was better in the rehearsal, the second half of the show was better today,” Ballerini continued.
After taking a second to think about it, the “Peter Pan” singer went with Lynise.
“Alanna is more of a nuanced voice. She really has this cool playground in her middle area which is really special,” she said in a one-on-one. “Knowing what I’m good at and capable of. I felt I could better support Alanna.”

After the decision, Levine, 46, praised Ballerini for his passion for his team.
“I love Kelsea,” he said. “She cares and she really is passionate about her team. It sucks not to win but at the end of the day you should not be discouraged when you go home. You have had your time here, take the time you had, take advantage of it and move on.”
Then, when they returned to their places, Ballerini asked “Wonder” singer if he had made the same decision.
“1000%,” he said.
“Okay, thankfully,” Ballerini said.
The fighting will continue on Monday, March 24 at. 20 et at NBC.
