Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau make their first public appearance as a couple

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau going strong!

The pop star, 41, and Canada’s former prime minister, 53, made their first public appearance as a couple on Saturday, October 25.

Perry and Trudeau attended a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris to celebrate the “Dark Horse” musician’s birthday, according to reports TMZ.

In pictures obtained by the outlet, the pair could be seen walking out of the theater holding hands and smiling.

Perry wore a vibrant red dress, while the politician kept it casually cool in an all-black ensemble for her date night in France.

Perry and Trudeau first sparked romance rumors over the summer, when they were spotted on a date in Montreal, Canada.

At the time of their first public outing, Perry had recently separated from her former fiance, Orlando Bloomin June. Trudeau, meanwhile, had separated from his wifeSophie Grégoire, after 18 years of marriage in 2023.

After not seeing each other again for a few months, Perry and Trudeau were photographed in September, hugging and kissing on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara.

A source later told PEOPLE that Trudeau had “hunted” Grammy nominated then their dates in Montreal. “He even flew to California to see her during a tour break,” the insider said. “They have an easy rapport. She finds him attractive. He’s been very respectful.”

Perry is currently touring the world as part of her Lifetimes Tour, in support of her latest album, 143.

The concert series started in Mexico City in April. Since then, she’s made stops in various cities across the United States, Canada and Australia, and Perry now travels around the world to connect with more fans.

To celebrate her birthday on October 25, Perry shared an Instagram Stories post with a funny message from X, in which she gushed about how her mom, Mary Perry“released Katy Perry” in the same way that the singer would release a new musical project.

Earlier this week, Perry celebrated her astrological sign and wrote in one Instagram posts“We have officially entered Scorpio szn ♏️🦂.”
