Kandi Burruss had some nerves about having his daughter, Riley burrussIn the lead role on his own Bravo series.
At the prices of 2025 on Monday, June 9, the mother and the daughter duo spoke with People about Riley, 22, and entered the limelight after his mother left The Real Housewives of Atlanta After 14 seasons.

“People are already trying to say crazy things about my child online and other celebrity children,” she said. “When it’s her arrive, it’s really nothing I could do to protect her.”
“Because now it’s really, all eyes are on you. It’s not about me,” Kandi continued. “You don’t just catch a stray. It’s like people can really just focus on you and say what they want to say and sure so I’m afraid. Oh lord. I’m afraid of what she will do there, children.”

“Here’s the thing. I mean, I know we will all do things,” she admitted. “I’ve done some wild things or said wild things on TV or whatever. So with that said we just have to talk a little about it and then go past it.”
“There is nothing my daughter will make me come like,” Oh, I will never talk to you, “she concluded.
In the show’s third episode, which was broadcast on June 17, the group of comrades went to Gia’s house in New Jersey for a party. While he was on the sprinter cabin, Riley was confronted by Charlie, who tells her that she is scary and scary to a random girl he had recently met.
As Charlie continued to talk to Riley, he mocked her with exaggerated hand gestures and body language. She began to tear up, and when the group noticed her emotional state, she explained: “I’m just so angry.”
“I just don’t like you trying to spin this story I am, this scary black girl, when I’m not,” she said through tears.

On the group’s arrival at Gias home, Riley Kandi called and told about his experience. At the other end of the phone, her mother defended her daughter and shared her frustrations on how Charlie leads with Riley.
As she continued to chat with her mother, Brooks sat at her for support. Kandi then said, “I’m glad you let him know. I don’t think it’s cool,” before I add, “It just frustrates me to hear it, because as a black woman you are minority and it’s okay.”
“You’re not afraid to speak for yourself, which you shouldn’t be,” Kandi concluded.
