A Jetblue pilot was arrested when he prepared for a flight from Boston’s Logan International Airport to Paris on Thursday, February 20, after officials found an active command for his arrest in North Carolina.
Jeremy Gudorf, 33, was arrested on the plane on Thursday evening by Massachusetts State Police. After US customs and border protection carried out a “standard review” of the manifesto of aviation, they discovered a commander “admitted to a member of the flight crew arrested”, a spokesman told the State Police NBC News.
Gudorf was arranged in the East Boston District Court Friday, reports NBC Boston and WCVB. Prosecutors said that the North Carolina listing was on an accusation of sexual exploitation of other degrees of a minor. He was also accused in Massachusetts as a refugee from justice, Per NBC Boston.
Prosecutors asked for Gudorf to be held without bail and handing over his passport.
“He has the financial ability to rent a car and drive to North Carolina,” said Gudorf’s defense lawyer, Tanvi Verma, Per WCVB. “He has assured me that he will do that.” His lawyer also told the court that he had no previous criminal history, Per NBC Boston.

“Honestly, there is no escape from this case, judge. He is fully aware of it,” said Verma, Per Wmur. “These are serious fees. The news is here. He will not be able to flee from this.”
While the judge did not take Gudorf’s passport, he was ordered to be held at $ 10,000 in the bail. He was also ordered to return to North Carolina by February 25. A court date in Massachusetts is scheduled for March 19, but which will be abolished if he clears the warrant.
The specifications in his case in North Carolina were not discussed in the court Friday, according to NBC Boston. The commander was based in Huntersville, NC, where Gudorf once lived.
Huntersville Police Department said in a statement Friday that it received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in October 2024. After an investigation, they received a search order for Google “which led to identification of the source of the reported images,” the police said.
“Late last year, Google followed the warrants and provided the necessary information to law enforcement,” says Huntersville police. “Based on the evidence collected, HPD investigators secured an arrest warrant for Mr Gudorf on charges of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor.”

“As a public defender, it is our responsibility to ensure that each of our customers is assumed innocent and treated accordingly until it has not been proven by the state,” Verma said in a statement to people. “Each defendant is entitled to that assumption and to an eager defense in court under law, regardless of charges against them.”
Jetblue said in a statement to several stores that Gudorf was placed on “indefinite leave.”
“We are aware of and review the review of one of our pilots when we reported for work at Boston’s Logan Airport on Thursday evening due to an outstanding command,” the airline’s statement reads. “The pilot has been placed on indefinite leave when law enforcement continues with the matter.”
