Jenna Bush Hagers husband crashed into a Secret Service car on their second date

Jenna Bush HagerHusband certainly knows how to make an entrance.

Henry Hager served as guest co-host on Thursday March 27 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, Where the couple shared humorous anecdotes about their early dating years.

At one point in the segment, Hager, 46, revealed that he once met a Secret Service vehicle when he picked up Bush Hager, 43, for a date.

“I run an old bronco, and the gas meter didn’t work anymore, so I didn’t know how full the thought was. I come to a huge intersection with a stop light, and it’s rush hour, because we will have dinner, and I realized that my truck ends on gasoline,” he said.

After discovering a gas station, he “peeled hard to the left” and “blocked three traffic lanes that came in the opposite direction” to get gas in time before his truck broke down. With hardly any gas in the tank, his truck accidentally rolled back in the Secret Service car behind him.

“I threw on the emergency brake and just made a small bumper in the back,” he said. “No tax dollars were spent (to fix the car), but we blocked a lot of traffic.”

The two also detailed their first kiss during Hager’s guest appearance.

“It was to Lil ‘Troy, a song I can’t say on TV. Lil’ Troy was a rapper back on the day, we danced,” Busher recalls funny. “And suddenly you shot your shot.”

Hager agreed, “I went in for kiss, yes.”

“What happened later, you can leave,” joking Bush Hager, before he claimed that Hager later “made the shame walk out of the White House.”

The couple met when Hager worked for then President George W. Bush’s re -election Campaign 2004 and Hager came to the White House to watch a football match. At that time, Bush Hager was a teacher in Washington, DC the two was an official couple at President Bush’s second inauguration in 2005.
