Jenn Sterger breaks down and talks about the fall from Brett Favre Sext Squisal

Jenn Sterger opens up about how the first media cover around Brett FavreS 2010 sexting scandal has affected her life.

Sterger, 41, was at the center of the 2010 scandal after a Deadspin report claimed that Favre had sent her a photograph of her genitals, as well as a number of other unwanted text messages and voice messages where he had made unwanted progress against the New York Jets Gameday host.

The controversy is the centerpiece of Netflix’s new documentary, Countless: Favre’s fallwhich follows the former NFL -quarterbacken public case and begins to flow May 20.

“I was never treated as a person,” says Sterger during an emotional scene, which includes clips of media personalities and fans at that time that threw her for the former quarterbacken scandal.

“I think one of the reasons why it is so difficult for people to have any empathy for me on the internet is because I’m just a picture for them,” says Sterger. “And he was a wide favorite.”

Countless: Favre’s fall Follows the now 55-year-old former quarterback’s first rise as a Green Bay Packers star in the 1990s to its tumultuous grace in the late 2000s and 2010s, from a football hero to a former athlete who has been accused of both sexual harassment and sipping government funds intended to help the poor.

Favre, who has long denied errors in the Mississippi Welfare scandal, refused to be interviewed for the documentary.

But Sterger agreed to sit down with Netflix producers to discuss what happened between her and Favre, how his inappropriate progress towards sports personality was published against her wishes and how the public’s reaction to it affected her life.

At one point, Sterger explains the “craziest part” of the entire scandal is that she and Favre have never met. “I’ve never met him,” says Sterger, who worked for Jets during Favre’s One season with the team in 2008 but never crossed roads with Quarterbacken. “We’ve never been to the same room. We’ve never shook hands. We had no kind of relationship, no report, nothing.”

Sterger explains that Favre first noticed her at a distance in a stadium tunnel before a Jets game. Quarterbacken asked for a jets personnel to get Sterger’s number for him, which Sterger says the employee gave to Favre without her permission. Favre then started sending texts and later began to leave difficult voice messages. Then Favre is stated that Sterger sent an unwanted picture of his genitals.

But Sterger never published the interaction himself.

Two years later, Sterger to Netflix says that she relaxed mentioned the unwanted text from Favre during a conversation with colleague sports journalist AJ Daulerio, who was editor -in -chief of Deadspin at the time and later published the information without Sterger’s consent.

“I had said to a couple of people, at the end of this, if there are two scumbags out of this situation, it is myself and a wide favorite,” Daullerio told CNN: S Reliable sources Program in a clip displayed under the Netflix document.

Sterger, who had made a career as a sports medical personality during the years before that favorite scandal, says she began to stay away from having a public profile after the media storm that followed the sexting scandal.

The Netflix document also includes interviews with Sterger’s bodyguard during Jets games, which called Favor’s actions “disgusting”, as well as other personalities with sports media, reporters and former NFL players who all place the indication of the Favre throughout the section.

“We have just seen these things play too many times,” says sports medielism Jemele Hill in the doctor.
