“He is ready to release from school and be an actor,” says Morgan, 59, exclusively to People. “I think he’s known that since we took him to Hamilton When he was 3 years old. ”
“We went behind the scene after the show, and he went out on stage dressed like Hamilton,” Wred Star remembers that he took his son to the Broadway hit. “I just remember looking at him and went,” he knows exactly what he’s going to do right now. “He’s really good.”

Then Morgan showed some pictures behind the scenes On Instagram By his son in Full Zombie make -up, he wrote “Super proud.”
Recently, it has been a little tougher for the two to be together on a set. Morgan’s work has taken him from the family’s 100 hectares of large farm in Rhinebeck, New York, to Europe to host NBC’s reality series, Destination x.
Based on a Belgian competition series, the competition follows 10 players traveling across Europe on a windowless bus as they try to solve their place every week through a series of challenges.
“I find a way to come home every weekend if I can,” Morgan said to get time for Burton, 42 and their children Gus and George7. “With this show it was a little harder when you are all over the world and they didn’t come out.”
Still Morgan managed to round up the family to Bring them to Canneseries In April. Not only did they go with him for season 2 world premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead CityBut also to see your hands memorable on the Cannes Walk of Fame.

“It was fantastic,” Morgan said about having the whole tag family. “It was George’s first red carpet. They stole the show. I thought Gus would go away with a three-image agreement. It was cool.”
But don’t expect to see Gus land any projects yet.
“We hold him back just because I want him to have an education; his mother wants him to have an education,” says Morgan about Burton, as he quietly married 2019 after one Decade together.
Their caution also derives from broader concerns in the Hollywood industry.
“We want him to be really sure of this choice because it is not the easiest path, even though nepotism is involved, and the business changes so much,” Morgan says to act in Hollywood.

“Many years ago, when I came up, there were much more low-budget films to do. Over the past 20 years there have been so many TV jobs available, and now it’s a ghost town,” says Morgan. “La’sa Ghost Town. Many of the states are a ghost town. Even Georgia was so busy when we did The Walking Dead the. I don’t know about All customs Will happen, but it will not work well for our business. So I try to prepare the gus for this the best I can. “
This preparation includes Burton that takes the gus to musicals and games. Morgan shares that he could see his son on Broadway. “He’s that kind of talent. Things I could never do, he is already shining on.”
It also includes GUS that attends a new school that focuses on art.
“This year we change schools so he can have the opportunity to really focus on what he wants to do,” says Morgan. “He can take classes from the other side of the camera – write, direct, put buildings, film acts and theater plays.”
Recently shared Burton On Instagram that gus, a beginner, was was introduced in his current school theater association.
“Look up the world. Gus Morgan (who still has zero social media, ya weirdos) will dazzle you. #Prooudmama 🎭vey.”
