Jeffrey Dean Morgan on this celebrity surprising return to Walking Dead Universe (exclusive)

Hot Diggity Dog. Lucille is back! Sort of.

One Tree Hill alum Hilalar Burton42, made a surprise back to The Walking Dead The universe as negan’s wife, lucille. In the section 15 of June of The Walking Dead: Dead CityThe Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) hallucinates his dead wife as he struggles with a sick Ginny (Mahina Anne Marie Napoleon) and reflects on past worry.

Morgan, even Burton’s Real spouseBe proud to be reunited on the screen.

“We have tried to find out a way to bring her back into the show since she first arrived,” Morgan, 59, solely tells People about Burton’s unexpected Como at Death city. “I always wanted her back.”

“Eli calculated a way to bring her back, and we did,” Morgan adds Death city Showrunner Eli Jorné.

Burton first appeared The Walking Dead Season 10 finalWith the title “Here is Negan” via Flashbacks such as Lucille, the names of Negan’s iconic apocalyptic murder bat.

Throughout TWD Finale, the former gym teacher reflected on the events that led him to an isolated living situation, including his attempt to keep Lucille alive after a cancer diagnosis during the first months of the downfall of humanity. In the end, Lucille took his own life so that Negan could move forward.

On Sunday’s episode of Death city“Novi Dan Novi Pocetak,” as Mile (Željko Ivanek) translates to “New Day, New Start” from Croatian, Negan is at a similar low point. To think that he has failed with all people in his life – Lucille, his current wife Annie, their son Joshua and Ginny – Stumbles Negan during a hiker meeting and hit the corner of a sink.

Negan is probably brave and bleeding from the back of his head and starts hallucinating that he is chasing a thief in the hospital. Negan then handles Theif and reveals that the mystery person is none other than Lucille.

In the short meeting, which lasts just over a minute, Negan apologizes for not being able to keep her alive.

Lucille only offers compassion and love, shakes his head no and answers tear -eyed, “You got me up every morning. You washed me.”

And while Negan continues to claim “that was enough,” Lucille continues unmatched.

“You got me dressed. You undressed me,” she adds with a knowing laugh.

“I think it does so much for my character to have her around so you can see behind the door why Negan is Negan,” says Morgan about their short scene.

When Lucille disappears, Morgan is briefly visited by visions of his current wife and children, as well as Ginny. As a result, he finds a ventilator to keep Ginny alive, at least at the moment.
