Jason Momoa calls his father’s como in ‘War of War’ a ‘pretty beautiful moment’

Talk to NBC News in a segment sent on Today Show on Thursday, July 31, the 45-year-old actor revealed that his father is making a como in Apple TV+ Historical Drama, War Manager.

“Pops is in it, yes,” he told Joseph Momoa. “He blows the conch shell.”

The Bajsur Alum added that Conch Shell was not only a composite role for the series, but something that his father always has proud of.

“Every special collection at all, my dad always did,” he said, leaving, “seeing him everything in the closet was a pretty beautiful moment.”

The Game of Thrones Alum was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and his father is Hawaiian and comes from Nanakuli.

“This is all I have ever wanted to do, do something for my culture and my legacy,” Jason said about why the series is a passion project. “To be honest, guys, I’ve never seen anything like this show.”

Jason created and produced the nine section series, which is based on real events about the association of the Hawaiian Islands when they meet colonization in the late 18th century.

“I feel that this whole thing has chosen me in a way, like this is my fate,” Jason told People At the premiere on Wednesday, July 30, which was in Hawaii, not far where he was born – and two miles from where he would spend summers with his father. “I have no idea how I came to all this, but we are here and I am very grateful. I live my dream to do what I love to do. Playing my ancestors is such a responsibility. It is scary and exciting.”

“(My mom) is the one who introduced Guinness to me. It was just meaningful for us to be together,” Jason told People, leaving that Coni was “so nervous” on the set. “She did a good job, but it was really sweet to see my mom kind of panic on the lines.”

War Manager Premiere with two episodes on August 1, with new episodes that will debut every week on Fridays on Apple TV+.
