Jamie Laing and Sophie Habbboo reveal the best marriage council (exclusive)


Made in Chelsea alum Jamie Laing and Sophod opens up about his marriage.

As co-hosts for Newlyweds Podcast, Laing, 36 and Habboo, 30, know one thing or two about the high and lowness in marriage. In the midst of their second wedding day, the London -based couple revealed to people their best marriage council as well as the most rewarding and challenging parts of a relationship after bounding.

For Habbboo is the best marriage council she ever got to remember that “you are a team.”

“As long as you grow together and not apart, you will be golden,” she tells people.

“The most rewarding is the easiest: to do life together,” the model continues. “Going through new milestones together, seeing each other succeeding and experiencing new things together is so sweet.”

Although “Making Life Together” is Habbboo’s favorite part about being married, it is also the most challenging aspect of her relationship with Laing, which she met in 2017, when she joined the role of Made in Chelsea. The couple left the long -standing reality show, which follows the experiences of London’s social elite youth, a few years later.

“Life is difficult sometimes and when you are married you always have to think about your partner’s well -being and opinions as well as your own,” says Habbboo. “You can’t be selfish when you are married, it’s about you and 50% about your partner.”

Laing encourages people to “marry your best friend.”

He and Habbboo started as friends and did not start meeting until 2019, two years after they met. They got engaged in December 2021 and held their civilian ceremony on April 14, 2023 in an intimate court ceremony in Chelsea Old Town Hall in London. Their other, more lavish wedding took place in Marbella, Spain, on May 20, 2023.

“The most rewarding part is to live this amazing life with your best friend,” Laing tells People. “There is nothing like it.”

Co -founder of the confectionery company Candy kittens Joking that “The most challenging thing is to pick which side of the bed to sleep on.” But in reality he admits that “life is difficult, marriage can be difficult.” However, having great communication makes it easier.

“When you work through the hard things, life and your relationship become even better,” he says. “Of course, we go through ups and downs just like everyone, but good things really come to those who wait.”

After getting married, Habbboo was most surprised to discover that “you never stop getting to know each other.”

“I thought I knew Jamie back to the front but as you grow, both individually and as a couple, you get to know each other on a whole new level,” she says. “I know I grow daily so Jamie gets to learn new things about me and vice versa. Growing together is really special.”

Laing and Habbboo advise other married couples to never “hold points.” For those who work together as they do, they emphasize to never take the job home.

“You have to draw a fixed boundary between the two,” says Habbboo.
