When you discuss Lizzie McGuireThe actor took a moment to reflect on the hair during the show and explained that he got the choice for the hair to be spiky.
“I think I was responsible for becoming the iconic spiky-haired look. When we filmed the pilot back when it was in 1999, I don’t think I had ever made a spiky-hair type of look,” recalled Thomas. “My hair was just always down without product, something similar. And I think it’s just a product of the times.”
He added to see people in the entertainment industry rocking pointed hair – popularized by stars such as Travis Barker, Jake Gyllenhaal, *Nsync’s Joey Fatone and more – towards the end of the 1990s inspired his decision.

At the show’s conclusion, Thomas was ready to move on from the pointed hair. “As soon as the show finished, I rejected that identity and I was like, ‘No, no, no, we’ll be back to the turn,'” Star, now 35. “And then I did the swoop for a while and then in my recent years I have embraced the hair update now.”
It is not surprising that Thomas wanted to retire the pointed hair. He said that the “sharp” look required “a bathtub with hair gel that they would scoop out and spread in the hair spray.” When it was time for his showers at the end of the day, Thomas definitely washed out a lot of gel every night. ”
