Influencer Misha Agrawal’s family confirms her cause of death at 24

“Her phone wallpaper says everything. Her only goal for life,” wrote the grieving sister. She added, “Instagram is not a real world and followers are not real love, try to understand this.”

The text in the post prepared, “My little little sister had built her world around Instagram and her followers, with one goal to reach 1 million followers and gain loving fans. When her followers began to decrease, she was upset and felt useless.”

Her siblings recalled how Agrawal began in April became “deeply depressed” and often expressed concern about the potential to lose followers and how it could affect her career.

“I tried to comfort her and explained that this is not her whole world, it’s just a side job, and if it doesn’t work it’s not the end,” the post continued.

Her sister said she was trying to remind the content creator that she had a law degree and studied to become a judge. She said she told Agrawal to look at Instagram as “pure entertainment” and avoid letting social media “consume her.”

“I urged her to focus on her happiness and release anxiety and depression,” her sister wrote in a roll that was shared to Agrawal’s page. “Unfortunately, my little sister did not listen and was so consumed by Instagram and followers that she left our world forever. Tragically, she became so overwhelmed that she took her own life and left our family destroyed.”

The first news about Agrawal’s death was announced on Instagram April 26, which would have been her 25th birthday.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news about Misha Agrawal’s passing,” reads the statement. “Thank you all for the love and support that you showed her and her work. We are still trying to deal with this huge loss.”

Agrawal had over 350,000 followers on her Personal Instagram page and also ran a cosmetics brand called Mish CosmeticsWhere she sold hair care oil. Her company also shared News of her death with customers.

“We are heartbroken to share that our founder, Misha Agrawal, has passed away. She built Mishcosmetics.in and Mish hair oil with love, passion and a dream to make a difference,” The brand’s post began.

Elsewhere in the statement, the company promised that orders would still be “treated and delivered soon.” It continued, “Thank you for standing with us, for your endless love and for believing in Misha’s dream. Let’s keep keeping her spirit alive – together.”
