How ‘Superman’ Director James Gunn’s ‘Terrible’ Dog Inspired Films Crypto

He soon saw Ozu, who caught his attention because he “like looked like my old dog on a crack,” Gunn said. “And he had an ear (who) stands out and he was lean and his hair went out in all different directions. And I’m like, ‘That dog looks fun for me and I like fun things.’ ”

Gunn continued to say that Ozu was one year old after his adoption and “had never known people.” And when he took him home, “he was the worst dog you can imagine.”

“He ruined every thing in my house,” the filmmaker said. “He chewed up all my shoes, he chewed up my furniture, he chewed up my new portable $ 8,000. … He always followed me around. He didn’t seem to like me, he didn’t want to play with me, would run away from me, would hide me.

According to Gunn, “It would be so bad that I would be on the phone … and I don’t want to scream in anxiety while I’m on the phone, so I would get up on my kitchen counter and sit on my legs to get away from the dog. And suddenly I would see him fly through the air and jump on the counter to bite my feet and then also hit what we would have for a night.”
